Ultraviolet Radiant Intensity Sensor

  The UV sensor is manufactured with UV-sensitive optical fiber as a sensitive element. This UV-sensitive optical fiber can transform UV light into visible light. When UV irradiate UV-sensitive optical fiber from its side face, the visible fluorescence will be appeared from its end face. Then we transform the optical signal into electrical signal through electric eye. The electrical signal amplification system is designed in accordance with the characteristic of the UV light intensity. It can effectively remove the interference of the non-UV light of the sunshine and other light sources. This technique has obtained the nation invention patent right in 1996. This sensor can be used for the measurement of UV light intensity in the fields of medicine, hygiene, food, photochemistry, UV fluorescence analysis, etc. It has many advantages, such as high sensitivity, small volume, high accuracy and reliability.
